I mean the auditors, they ask us for the entire general ledger, right, that’s 20 million records
What do they do with it?
The usual stuff, transactions entered manually, transactions entered at the weekend, transactions after hours
Well, you would have thought they would notice then?
No, well, here’s the catch, even though they do all that, they actually then only pick 25 transactions from each result set
Oh !!
And what’s more, they don’t look at who entered the transactions.
Don’t they check unusual patterns of debit-credit accounts
